Frequently Asked Questions
❓ What Minecraft versions are supported?
StarGet supports Minecraft 1.18.2 through 1.21.2 and requires Java 17 or higher.
❓ How do I create my first game?
Use /starget create <name>, then /starget setlobby <name>, then add spawn points with /starget addspawn <name> <number>. Finally, create a join sign with [StarGet] on line 1 and your game name on line 2.
❓ How many spawn points do I need?
You should add at least as many spawn points as your maxPlayers setting. For example, if maxPlayers is 15, add 15 spawn points. Players will respawn at random spawns.
❓ Can I customize game duration and player counts?
Yes! Edit the game configuration file at plugins/StarGet/games/<game-name>.yml to customize gameDuration, maxPlayers, minPlayers, spectatorDuration, and more.
❓ What happens in overtime?
If multiple players are tied for first place when time expires, the game enters a 30-second overtime mode. The first player to score during overtime wins. If the tie persists, all tied players are declared winners.
❓ How do I view player statistics?
Players can use /starget stats or click the stats book in the lobby. Statistics are stored in plugins/StarGet/playerdata.db and include games played, wins, total stars, highest score, and win rate.
❓ Can I disable the podium system?
Yes, set enablePodium: false in your game configuration file. Players will skip the podium phase and return to spawn immediately after the game ends.
❓ How does the hologram leaderboard work?
Use /starget sethologram at your desired location to create a persistent leaderboard showing the top 10 players. The hologram updates automatically when player statistics change.
